I just left my house—and thank you, God—it feels glorious. I’m stepping into a new adventure as the newest version of myself. One who is rooted, clear, and committed to what I like to call the Comfortable Creative. She lives in peace, creates boldly, and honors God in everything.
Let’s live comfortably and create a life that exalts God together. Let’s walk in truth together. Let’s work through our issues out loud—worshipping, healing, and revealing our art as we go.
This morning began with a sacred act: setting a clear boundary. Amen and praise God for that. That moment of clarity was my offering—my "yes" to purpose, and my "no" to anything misaligned.
Later, I went to the dispensary. At the register, a white woman ringing me up looked past me and greeted her friend at the back of the store before acknowledging me. Something in me rose up—firm, clear, and uncompromising. I took the item from her hand with intention, locked eyes, and said,
"You acknowledge the customer at your register when you see her."
She got the message. Everyone watching did.
She completed the transaction. I took the confusing change they always seem to give, walked over to the Black woman working next to her, and dropped it in her tip jar. I looked her in the eyes and said,
"Because you deserve it."
Then I walked out—covered in God’s anointing—and into Starbucks, where the only sister there burst out laughing, full of joy.
My day has been beautiful, and it’s only 4 p.m.
This is the power of walking in purpose: clarity, confidence, compassion, and conviction—all wrapped in God's glory.
Keep going, God. Use me. Make me more like You. Amen.
