Becoming the best version of yourself requires new eyes; eyes that see past the surface, past distractions, past what society tells us, and into the heart of who God has called us to be.

New eyes help us recognize His purpose and plan for our lives, even when the noise around us tries to blur it.

Self-reflection is how we go inward. It is a practice of honesty with ourselves and God and laying down pretense, asking deep questions, and inviting Him to illuminate what is hidden.

God’s Scripture to Anchor The Reflection

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

— Psalm 139:23–24

Walking in purpose requires courage; not just to move forward, but to look inward. When we allow God to search us, when we ask ourselves the hard questions, when we strip away the noise; we begin to see with new eyes. And with new eyes, we become the best version of ourselves: the version rooted in Him.

Points of Reflection

Going Inward

Can we truly see amidst noise and hear distractions?

What are we missing?

Truth & Confrontation

What won’t we confront?

Who is impacted by this silence, and do they support it, or suffer from it?

Desire & Seeking

What are we seeking and why?

Who will we harm to get it and why do we believe it is necessary?

Identity & Influence

Who told you this is who you wanted to be: society or self?

Who are you without it?

Family & Values

What are our core family values?

Are these values lived in practice, or are they a façade for control and manipulation?

Are they healthy and in line with God’s Word and plan for our lives?

Legacy & Release

What are we leaving behind?

Listening Inward

What are we afraid of?

Who are we at our core values?
